Position Overview:

The Gun Library Senior Sales Specialist operates a business within a business. Their responsibilities are, but not limited to, the daily operations of the Gun Library. This will include the purchase, pricing, and sale of high quality new, used, and Antique firearms within the P&L. The Gun Library Senior Sales Specialist focuses on a selling culture through The 4 Most Focus and helps to reach monthly sales goals in order to achieve maximum profit through buying, selling, and trading firearms.

Essential Job Functions:

Overseeing the purchase and trading of firearms. The Gun Library Senior Sales Specialist and the Gun Library Team control company inventory with the highest % of margin in how well they purchase or handle trade ins.

Marketing being proactive in the layout of the Library. Also working with the Internet Specialist as to what we post to achieve the highest potential in turns. Both on the floor and online.

Sales and compliance--ensure you are legally able to purchase and possess firearms to ensure compliance of a firearms sales department.

Working with customers on the phone or the sales floor. Making deals with customers but maintaining the highest % of margin.

Promoting a selling culture with The 4 Most Focus and Superior Customer Service as a key focus. Spending time developing a relationship with customers in answering questions about their firearm, quoting a price for their firearm or a retail price of Cabela’s firearms. These interactions may be in person or over the phone.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2 to 4+ years experience
  • Must be 21 Years of Age.
  • A knowledge of firearms acquired by either working in the firearms industry, or collecting firearms is the best type background to come from. Having a good understanding of retail and a knowledge of computers is helpful but not as important as a strong background in firearms collecting. You need to have a great work ethic in this position and the abilty to multi task.
  • Being able to appraise and know the marketable value of antique and high quality firearm. The large variety of these guns and the span of time it takes to acquire the knowledge of them is difficult to achieve.
