About this job



The client will be starting a new contract to provide facilities services to their customer's Center for Leadership Excellence.

The facility is basically a large hotel and conference center where their customer has the majority of its training seminars and professional development for its corporate employees. The client will provide the facilities services for this facility and they have tasked us with finding a Lead Electrician to support this contract.

This person will be responsible for taking direction from the Site Manager to assist with daily management, safety, and operation of the various hotel systems within the site. They will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating preventative maintenance and repairs on various systems to include

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*Performs day to day operations and maintenance work to include preventative maintenance and unscheduled maintenance in a Government Facility.
*Performs troubleshooting and repair on a variety of electrical distribution systems and end devices to include lighting, equipment, BAS, MCC's and electrical infrastructure.
*Installation and repair or a variety of electrical equipment, such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment.
*Working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
*Locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
*Working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
*Use of a variety of electrician's hand tools, and test & measurement instruments.
*Requires rounded training and experience, usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship, licensed Journeyman or Masters.
*Maintains the general cleanliness and appearance of assigned spaces.
*Assists others as part of the maintenance team as required and performs other duties assigned.


Additional duties include:

- Repairing and inspecting electrical, mechanical, and general construction, repair, and maintenance of existing facilities and equipment, operation of plant utilities (i.e. gas, electric)
- Ensure paperwork & work orders are completed accurately, on time
- Administer all facility management programs associated with safety and health, maintenance, and janitorial programs. Inspect machines and equipment for accident prevention devices

- Assist with managing the facility maintenance team and assume the Site Manager's duty in that person's absence.

- May be required to work various schedules that reflect the business needs of the hotel.

Qualifications:

- Associates degree from two year college or technical school highly preferred but not required.

- Minimum of 5 years experience in electrical maintenance and repair
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a lead or senior role
- Computer literate; proficient with Word, Excel
- Must have a valid driver's license in good standing
