Description

We have an immediate need for a Senior Treasury Analyst to work from our Providence office.  This position will assist and a number of key areas and responsibilities will include the following:

  • Support risk management best practices including monitoring and reporting, develop, communicate, and maintain documented Procedures.
  • Coordinate and prepare monthly ALCO and Board materials.
  • Review evolving regulatory liquidity requirements (LCR, etc.) to understand and implement required monitoring and reporting changes.
  • Monitor external events, trends, and developments (rating agency changes, products, regulations, practices, etc.) to enhance development and contribution and otherwise inform team.
  • Responsible for buying and selling national market fund (overnight & term fed funds, repos, reverse repos, FHLB advances, brokered deposits).
  • Manage and reconcile fed accounts towards bi-weekly reserve maintenance targets.
  • Manage FHLB accounts via cash fundings, drawdowns, debt resets, and capital stock purchases & redemptions.
  • Fund, manage, and reconcile cash accounts for multiple affiliate banks and subsidiaries.
  • Actively participate in the monitoring and management of collateral, including the development of new platforms and applications for this purpose.
  • Develop, communicate, and maintain all reporting Procedures to support the Group’s priorities and efforts.
  • Take a leadership role on priority projects and initiatives, analyses, management reporting, and regulatory reporting (key metrics, ALCO and Board reporting, ad hoc requests, etc.).
  • Develop solid understanding of key sources and uses of funds, products, risks, controls, and core processes in order to support the Group’s mission of providing current, projected, and contingent liquidity in a timely, cost effective, and risk controlled manner.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with critical support partners (other Treasury groups, Operations, Technology, Risk, Loan Operations, Audit, Commercial and Consumer LOBs, etc.) to collaboratively pursue priorities and identify and implement process improvements.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 Years Bank Treasury, Finance, Accounting experience.
  • Understanding of the money and capital markets, bank operations, and basic accounting. Federal Funds trading experience required.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, supported by equally strong Microsoft Office skills (particularly with Excel).
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.  Ability to persuade through reasoned analysis.
  • Strong work ethic and achievement orientation.  Demand for excellence from self & others.
  • Capacity to form and willingness to express opinions, even if unconventional.
  • Discipline to ensure risks remain controlled.
  • Intellectual curiosity and initiative to learn about and adapt to new concepts, processes, and practices.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree required in Business, finance, math, statistics or other related topics.
  • Masters degree preferred in finance.
