Customer Service Representative

Job Description Kelly Services is hiring a Customer Service Representative with experience in third party shipping for our client located in Anaheim, CA. This opening will be Direct Hire working from 8:00am - 4:30pm; Monday - Friday. General Responsibilities of this position will include: Responsible for ready to ship reports sent to customers: - Compile and send to customers status of production on what is ready to ship, on a weekly, bi-weekly, or as needed status. - Work with Quality control and Production to find out most up to date status, quantities, and QC release on the products Responsible for incoming and outgoing freight: - Will work with 3PL freight carriers to schedule pickups and drop offs of freight to and from Vendors Coordinate with customers on shipments and provide them with documents and tracking. - Will work with either 3PL freight carriers, customers, or the customers freight carrier to arrange pickup of freight or from manufacturers Responsible for project management with R&D. Creating project #'s, writing up project notes and documenting status from start to finish: - Will be sent new projects to work on documenting along with R&D's progress and samples - Will keep track of samples and customers feedback - Once approved, will enter the formula into quotation Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner - Answer emails and phone calls from customers - Respond back to them as fast as possible, regardless of the inquiry Communicate with management on customer requirements and needs - Create daily report on customers and their requirements. Distribute to management. - Work with production and packaging to determine the products most up to date status. Relay information back to customer Update schedule as orders come in - As orders are sent, input them into the scheduling document so production can visually see the order and the quantities. Requirements - Logistics, dispatch, or similar experience; knowledge of industry related dispatch & trucking software; experience using MRP/ERP systems - High School diploma or equivalency; college education is a plus - Ability to proactively recognize and solve problems; excellent verbal and written communication skills; high attention to detail; advanced knowledge of Google Docs and Microsoft Office, e.g. Word and Excel.
