Director, Product & Channel Marketing

Overview

The Director of Product & Channel Marketing is a results-oriented leader who has strong experience bringing products to market and driving revenue through channel marketing programs. The role's key function is to maximize new customer acquisition by setting and delivering on the overall product and channel marketing strategy, with success in the role linked to achieving both product performance targets as well as delivering on key initiatives that will meet channel revenue targets. Learning from our customers, partners and sales team, the role will build and iterate programs to drive customer acquisition and evangelism through the channel.

This position will be a critical member of the marketing leadership team and will focus on developing and executing marketing campaigns and managing systems to exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals. This person will closely align with the company's sales team to build and manage to measurable key performance indicators designed to support driving revenue objectives. Role responsibility will also include directing and managing a team, and building strategy for and executing on channel marketing plans and programs. Product marketing responsibilities will include go-to-market development, market sizing, competitive analysis, sales enablement, product roadmap planning and overall market/industry intelligence analysis.

What You'll Be Accountable For

  • Drive new partner development and existing partner engagement through marketing planning and support through an integrated mix of programs and tools.
  • Manage partner content, communications and demand generation programs with vehicles that deliver. consistent/relevant information to partners ultimately creating new revenue.
  • Develop and manage programmatic channel promotions, benefits and rewards.
  • Develop and support co-marketing programs for strategic partners.
  • Develops and manages the annual plan/budget for channel programs in conjunction with CMO; owns accountability for reporting on channel metrics in alignment with Director of Marketing Ops.
  • Align closely with sales team and business development to ensure maximization of channel program and sharing of KPIs related to growth of channel.
  • Act as the primary evangelist for product solutions messaging and positioning and drive overall efforts to establish strong market differentiation and desirable value proposition for our customers.
  • Establishes vision, strategic direction, and thought leadership for product solutions based on deep understanding of customer buying preferences and competitive insights.
  • Develops and executes comprehensive strategic product marketing plans and programs to support sales and revenue objectives of organization.
  • Collaborates with Product Management and Marketing to develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with our target customers.
  • Manage and execute product launch plans including the creation of sales collateral, sales training and business development support materials.

Your Background

  • 5 - 7+ years' experience in a senior-level marketing role, eCommerce, B2C & B2B preferred. SaaS to SMB experience preferred.
  • Proven record of successful execution of go-to-market plans and channel marketing strategy development; strong strategic planning and program development skills.
  • Track record of developing highly skilled, high-powered, nimble and cohesive teams.
  • Must have a strong analytical and quantitative skill set combined with a strength to analyze data, interpret and translate results to produce actionable changes.
  • Highly efficient team player, with the ability to also work independently in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
  • Proven track record collaborating with cross-functional internal parties and external agencies/contractors.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field.

Work Environment

Work takes place in an open office setting. This position requires the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time and communicate effectively with a diverse audience in person, by phone and by computer. This position may travel occasionally.
