LM Restaurants is seeking a Sales and Marketing coordinator to drive sales and marketing initiatives for the Carolina Ale House in Glen Allen, VA. This role will help bring brand recognition and sales to the brand through grass roots and defined community outreach.

DRIVE SALES:
• Drives large party reservations and event business
• Drives catering and boxed lunch programs
• Coordinates timing for deliveries and pick up catering orders
• Responds to all inquiries via phone and email, provides groups of 10+ with menus, drink specials, and other information as needed
• Obtains contracts and deposits from groups 50+
• Identifies neighboring businesses, opportunities for community outreach, networking, and promotion of Carolina Ale House, opportunities for repeat business, local events that may require catering
• Targets groups of 10+ guests for large party reservations
• Visits apartment complexes, corporate offices, schools, hotels, and colleges with marketing materials
• Cold calls at least 20 potential opportunities for business per week
• Reviews tactics used similar restaurants (marketing materials, open house events, etc.) to stay competitive and in front of the community
• Attends networking and community events to represent CAH (Chamber events, charity events, fundraisers)
• Communicates CAH message and exudes Carolina Hospitality to the community and potential new business

EVENTS & LARGE PARTY RESERVATIONS
• Maintains large party reservation book and event schedule
• Reviews CAH schedule of in-house activities (big games, live music, trivia) and promotes to the community to create interest
• Answers all client communications leading up to event
• Creates limited or event menus as needed for larger groups
• Assists with seating, floor charts, and set up plans as needed
• Follows up with clients following every event or catering order to create relationships

MARKETING
• Identifies local sponsorship opportunities
• Presents donation or sponsorship opportunities to Marketing
• Communicates needs for materials (menus, gift cards) to Marketing Department
• Sends birthday/congratulatory gift cards or lunches to key clients and potential new business
• Takes instruction or ideas given by Marketing and implements them into sales driving efforts
• Takes pictures during events/ of catering orders for social media use
• Encourages clients and guests to positively post on Instagram, Snap-Chat, Facebook and tag CAH
• Obtains reviews from clients on Yelp, Google, Four Square, etc.
• Encourages clients to sign up for CAH email list to stay up to date with events

Requirements

Job Requirements
* 1-3 years' experience in sales or marketing.
* Retail or restaurant experience a plus.
* Experienced in grassroots marketing.
* College Degree - marketing, advertising, public relations, communications preferred
* Flexible working environment: Home, restaurant, remote locations
* Ability to work on call. Flexible hours, including some weekends & evenings.
* Willingness to spend up to 50% of time in restaurants, events.
* Microsoft Office proficient, specifically Word and Excel.
* Experience with Hootsuite, Adspresso, other Social Media marketing tools and reporting a plus.
