Packaging Associates (1st shift) - Full-time / Part-time

Job Description Kelly Services is looking for a production packager for a fantastic temp-to-hire opportunity in Batavia, Ohio. The hours for this 1st shift position are from 6 am to 3:30 pm. We are looking for dependable candidates with flexible schedules as there is frequent overtime during the week. Weekend hours may also be required. Job duties include: - Fill various containers with product elements according to instructions and weight requirements as specified on batch ticket. - Sealing containers. Counting and reporting packaged items on the batch ticket. - Delivering packaged items to warehouse/shipping department. - Cleaning empty drums, tanks, and other items. - Providing information for production schedule. - Coordinating schedules with Labeling Station, Mixing Dept., and Shipping Dept. - Labeling and fill secondary packaging when necessary (i.e. boxes). - Maintaining HMIS & OSHA safety practices. Requirements include: - Ability to follow instructions accurately; read, write, and discern numbers. - Flexibility to work overtime with short notice. - Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment. - Motor coordination skills and the capability to perform repetitive motions. - Ability to stand, bend, lift 60 lbs on a regular basis and 100 lbs occasionally. The position requires employees to wear steel-toed shoes, protective gloves, and long-sleeve shirts on a daily basis. Employees will be working in temperatures ranging from 60 - 100 degrees F.
