Job Description Kelly Services has multiple Temp to Hire Hospital Operator positions available. The PBX Operator is responsible for operating hospital switchboard and pager system and implementing all emergency plans according to hospital policy. If interested please call 423.892.8964 or email your resume to 5611@kellyservices.com. - Day shift/7a-3p [every other Sat & Sun] - 3rd shift/11p-7a [every Thurs & Fri AND every other Sat & Sun] - 2nd shift/3p-11p [every Mon & Tues AND every other Sat & Sun] REQUIREMENTS: Education: High school graduate or GED required. Experience: Operator experience strongly preferred; customer service and positions requiring telephone etiquette required. Certifications/Identification: Current Driver-s License; CPI Certification (within 30 days of hire) JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Demonstrates the ability to: - Receive calls over switchboard console and appropriately connects calls to the requested extensions. - Monitors and responds to alarms appropriately, e.g. Fire Alarm, Code Blue Alarms, Medical Gas, Boiler and Security/Panic Alarms. - Completes documentation as required in a timely manner, e.g. Incident Log Book, On Call Team Logs. - Operates overhead paging system. - Operates beeper/paging system/Lynx - Demonstrates competency in computer software and equipment utilized in the department, e.g. Meditech, SharePoint, Microsoft Office, etc. - Other responsibilities as assigned per facility or by the management team. Facility-Specific Responsibilities: - Medical Center #1 o Enter patient demographics and/or charges o Process checks for facility Professionals. o Generate the 2nd Floor Waiting Room Daily Schedule each night based on the daily schedule from Day Surgery and the Cardiac Recovery Unit. - Medical Center #2 o Coordinates with business office meal ticket monies. o Keep daily log for -petty cash- box. o Give and receive daily deposits from Registration and Dietary. - Medical Center #3 o Coordinates with business office meal ticket monies. o Validate and document vehicle sign ins/outs. o Coordinates with RESPOND on individuals presenting and/or calling for potential assessment and entering information on the Master Client Assessment Log. o Pre-register patients who present for RESPOND assessment o Assemble the -Welcome- form and RESPOND packets. - Medical Center #4 o Registration responsibilities, e.g. capturing basic patient information.
