About this job

The Front of House (FOH) Supervisor at the U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC) is responsible for overseeing the floor in the River’s Edge Restaurant. Occasional responsibilities in other food and beverage establishments on-site may also be necessary. The FOH Supervisor is someone who is responsible and professional with the ability to multitask and help manage operations in a high-volume restaurant. FOH Supervisor is a full-time, year-round position and reports directly to the General Manager of Front of House.

• Maintain a proper dining experience in the restaurant by anticipating guest needs and providing a high level of service and hospitality
• Assist with implementing policies and procedures and training materials
• Train and motivate all employees to maintain high quality standards
• Manage opening and closing procedures, labor cost, and count inventory as needed
• Assist with record keeping, reports, and paperwork with a strong attention to detail
• Complete other tasks as requested by management
• Maintain availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays – a strong presence on the floor during peak business hours is required
• Maintain accurate knowledge of activities and products offered at facility

Requirements

Job Requirements
* A positive, proactive attitude and a service mindset
* A good foundation of food, wine, and beer knowledge
* Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
* Proficient with Microsoft office products
* Preferred skills and qualifications:
o A college degree
o ServSafe food and alcohol certifications
o Previous experience with Micros, Yellowdog, or Hotschedules
* Physical requirements:
o Ability to stand for long periods of time
o Ability to work long hours
