Diesel Mechanic - Full-time / Part-time

Our team is currently seeking skilled diesel mechanics to fill a position with a local company in the North Nashville, TN area. The ideal Mechanic will have experience with diesel mechanic operations, working on tractor-trailer trucks, owns a personal set of tools and has a good driving record. The ultimate goal is to operate at factory and industry standards to meet company goals.

Responsibilities of the Diesel Mechanic

• Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers

• Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspection, tire rotation and oil changes

• Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop

• Collaborate with repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs

• Perform regular diagnostics tests on trucks

• Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles

Requirements of the Diesel Mechanic

• Minimum 2 years of relative work experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an applicable industrial setting OR trade school/Career Tech training

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, at times with limited supervision

• Ability to solve problems independently

• Basic computer skills with strong measurement and math skills

• Must be organized and know how to maintain equipment

• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
