General Laborer

As a technician you will assist experienced operators performing a full range of services supporting our clients and helping them plan around what's underground. Our crews use state-of-the-art equipment performing inspections and determining the presence of underground utilities using electromagnetic locating equipment on various sites in the Washington Metro area. Training will include:

• Performing all aspects of utility locating services, receive training to secure specialized certifications, include manhole entry, traffic control and other site specific certifications.
• The use of mobile devices to receive project information and to communicate with team.
• Reading and interpreting utility maps / prints to identify the type and size of underground utilities.
• Assisting the crew in the safe operation of the company vehicle, maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous support to crew and clientele at all times.
• Safe operation of different electronic detection equipment to locate and mark under-ground facilities within prescribed accuracy limits.
• Best practices for the accurate documentation and the creation of sketches related to work performed.
• Use of Insight developed app on company issued mobile device.
• Performing work in all weather conditions, during normal and after hours.
