About this job

The Event Coordinator is accountable for the day-to-day administrative duties in support of restaurant events, following all RUI Service standards supporting our culture; Making it Right, Making Happen and Making it Special.

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:
* Contributes to the ongoing sales growth of the operation
* Works in partnership with restaurant management team to generate event business
* Responds to all incoming event inquiries in timely manner
*  Facilitates cold calling and cultivates relationships with local businesses
* Ensures event bookings are organized in GATHER and banquet event orders (BEOs) are accurate and properly 
   communicated/distributed in a timely manner
* Develops strong guest relations through courteous and professional communication and the building of guest 
   loyalty
* Manages, organizes and prioritizes multiple projects and/or tasks to meet deadlines
* Acts as a liaison with Chef/GM to ensure seamless execution of events
*  Responds and recovers to guest complaints in support of the management team
* Ensures that events meet guest expectations and operating standards on a consistent basis
* Administrative responsibilities  as needed
*  Follows all RUI cash handling policies and procedures

Requirements

* 1-2 years’ experience in Restaurant event sales/marketing or equivalent experience
* Valid food handler and liquor license card (where required)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Punctual and timely
* Has a basic knowledge of restaurant operations/events capability
* Displays a friendly, professional, and helpful attitude towards others
* Demonstrates good time management skills by completing all tasks in a timely manner
* Ability to manage multiple situations simultaneously
* Able to work a variety of scheduled shifts, based on the needs of the restaurant volume (i.e. late hours, holidays, 
   weekends, etc.)
* Must work well in a fast paced environment
