This position is responsible for under limited supervision leading the supply chain planning activities and overall inventory management to ensure customer service goals are achieved for Schwan's and for the integrity of finished goods inventory for all storage facilities. Create statistical forecasts from sales promotions marketing projections and historical data to direct the production and distribution of anticipated demand to the company for Business Planning Sales and Operations planning Capacity Planning and Master Production Scheduling. This position has more complex duties and responsibilities.
Responsible for the development of sales channel and customer level forecasting at multiple levels of DFU (Demand Forecasted Units) for each sales channel. Manage consensus process for internal and external customers and representation of forecasts for corporate consensus with Marketing and Sales
Responsible for the development and management of the Demand Planning process for new product launches product reformulations and discontinued product. This includes: Inventory pre-builds account or geographic rollout planning cannibalization of the product line and competition impact on sales forecasts and planning
Responsible for oversight of and collaboration with CIP and Plant Production Planning on the development of strategies policies and objectives to support our customer service levels inventory levels lead time objectives and planning time fences
Responsible to manage the deployment schedules to ensure supply of product to achieve target fill rates with optimal inventory levels and minimal costs
Communicates with Capacity Planning Customer Service and Manufacturing to limit shortages against customer demand
Monitors and manages downgraded and potential obsolete inventory to reduce losses
Manages the production control and inventory processes with the Co-pack providers
Responsible for inventory accuracies in the 3PL warehouses and works closely with Global Supply Chain inventory control to ensure metrics are achieved
To provide training and development support for junior level planners

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Years of Related Experience: 7-10 years related experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to work with math concepts such as probability and statistical inference; ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical solutions; must be proficient in JDA SAP Microsoft Excel Word & PowerPoint. Demonstrated management and supervisory skills. Solid problem solving and analytical skills. The ability to effectively communicate information to a wide variety of audiences. The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Strong organizational and time management skills.
