Job Title: General Manager

Reports To: Franchise Owner

FLSA Status: Exempt

Our company is a nationwide franchise of indoor activity parks called Rockin' Jump. Our teams are made up of people who are avid fitness fans & people who like to have fun with kids of all ages. We are creating a place where guests can play games to their heart's content while getting a great workout. We also offer a superior birthday party and family gathering experience, quality food and private party rooms. Most importantly, our teams will be coached to provide a safe play environment for kids of all ages.

Our park is located in south central Madison, WI, is open daily and offers special activities of all kinds. This team needs a leader, and that's the point of this posting. The General Manager of Operations and Guest Relations position will require working nights and weekends.

Position Description:
General Manager interviews and selects qualified candidates to hire; promotes & terminates staff following all Wisconsin labor laws & procedures.
Provides training, instruction and guidance to all staff members & serves as the park's chief culture enforcer
Establishes weekly work schedules along with monitoring punctuality and attendance of staf
Enforces the rules in place for all positions with the staff, ensuring the safety of both customers and staff; counsels and disciplines all staff membe
Responsible for the operation and profitability of the park in addition to the Safety and Cleanliness of the entire facility.
Superior organization skills are essential. You will be overseeing many moving parts of the business & as many as 50 part time employees. People who do not consider themselves well organized should not apply.

The hiring, training, development, promotion, counseling and termination of Staff members
Staff work Schedules
Park Cleanliness
Safety of customers & employees
Ensure all established Processes and Procedures are followed
Responsible for performance management of assistant managers & lead employees
Customer Relations

Primary Objectives:
Ensure the safety of the customers
Ensure the Park is profitable
Management and scheduling of staff
Ensure Staff are properly trained and fulfill their responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities of the Job

Responsible for all Staff members including:
Hiring staff
Training and development of staff
Counseling and disciplining staff
Termination of staff

Work Schedules including:
Set shifts and work schedules in our cloud based service
Ensure compliance with Wisconsin wage & hour laws, break & lunch periods

Cleanliness of the facility including:
Regular maintenance and inspection of trampolines
Regular cleaning of all areas within facility, including, mezzanine, front desk, trampolines, platform, party rooms, restrooms, party check-in area and front lobby.

Customer Relations:
Interact with customers of all ages
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience Expected:
Extensive knowledge of Retail Management skills
Extensive knowledge of handling personnel matters
Budgeting and math skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to handle the needs of guests and employees simultaneously without snapping
Exceptional Customer Service skills
Computer, Internet & Social Media literate
ServSafe food service certification is ideal
Education and Experience

Minimum AA Degree, BA, BS Desired
Prior retail store or full service entertainment complex or restaurant experience in either an assistant manager or a store/business manager position.

Physical Demands

Required to stand for long periods of time.
Required to walk and move around constantly.
Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel items/computers
Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms
Required to talk and hear
Occasionally required to bend, lift or climb
Occasionally required to lift heavy weights (50 pounds or greater).

Supervisory Level:
Supervises all Staff in Facility

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly exposed to moving people. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Compensation:
Approximately 80% of the General Manager's compensation will be base salary, with the remaining 20% variable based on the profitability of the business.

Total target compensation will range from $45,000 - $55,000 depending on experience. After probationary period, General Manager will become PTO eligible.
