Job Description
Industrial Molds is currently seeking an experienced CNC Operator / Programmer to be a working manager in the roughing department. The ideal candidate will be have previous management experience, strong technical skills and the ability to make others around him better. Responsibilities will include overseeing 8-10 employees and 11 machining centers to ensure production is meeting scheduled deliveries and quality. Position will report to foreman for scheduling updates, personnel decisions and department resources.
Position Summary:
Working manager for a team of 7 or more. Ensure completeness of required job information prior to cutting operation. Set up and program CNC machines. Perform in-process and final inspection of parts to ensure compliance with quality plan. Communicate status of jobs, problems, etc. with mold maker, programmer and/or manager. Perform predictive and preventative maintenance on departmental equipment according to schedule or instructions.
Essential Functions:
The ideal candidate will be in charge of driving productivity and maintaining scrap reduction goals. Participate in departmental and company training programs. Actively pursue improvements in quality, delivery and efficiency. Maintain acceptable levels of housekeeping within department and general shop areas. Complete job documentation, inspection and other reports according to company procedures. Complete other projects as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
· Experience in a Management role
· Minimum two years’ experience in CNC required.
· Ability to read blueprints
· Functionality a plus
· Must be able to understand complex work instructions.
· Experience with Injection Molds a plus
· Must have excellent computer skills.
· Must be able to manage multiple projects at once.
· Must have good organizational ability.
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
