General Manager/Operations Manager - With Transportation Knowledge Only Apply
IMPALA TRANSPORT Inc an asset based company is accepting positions for General Manager/Operations Manager position at our Dallas office.
Respected, growth-oriented, reputable trucking company specializing in Oil Field Transportation needs a take-charge individual with proven Operations, Administration and Maintenance experience to contribute to the strategic development of this organization. Expertise in ensuring all units are in service with profitable runs is required. This is a rapidly expanding company based in Dallas.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and within budget as determined by company objectives
- Provide leadership and direction to all functional areas of the organization to ensure bottom line profitability of the company
- Responsible for obtaining profit and margin objectives as determined by the operational budget
- Communicate with Owner in a timely manner regarding potential problems and/or recommendations for improving results
- Project a positive, can-do attitude that ensures subordinate support for company’s mission
- Effectively manage and schedule all subordinates to complete all projects on-time and within budget
- Review all contracts and quotations to ensure profitable business is maintained
- Ensure compliance with various government laws, rules and safety regulations*
Experience Desired:
- Five (4) plus years of General Management duties of a similar type transportation company in the $3M to $25M range
- Proven achievement in scheduling, monitoring and developing on time and profitable transportation objectives
- Knowledge of and experience in developing dispatching, maintenance and financial management
- CDL, Class A license with some driving experience preferred
- Verifiable experience maintaining and increasing profitable, serviceable customer base
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management or related discipline preferred
- Working Knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Ditat would be beneficial
- Verifiable leadership accomplishments regarding human capital management and profitable/effective operations
- Ability to interact and produce results with employees, supervisors, and customers
