JOB PURPOSE:

The Retail Sales Manager is responsible for providing leadership and training to the in-store associates at their location; ensuring that customer service and sales goals are understood and met. This role will be responsible for executing personal sales goals and driving the overall sales of the store. The SM will ensure operational tasks are completed in store and maintain a welcoming presence to their location. This role will serve as the first point of contact and owner of knowledge and decision-making for their assigned location. As a manager, you will also participate or lead in interviewing, outbound activities, company projects, meetings, and new hiring training.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  1. Greet incoming customers; establishing the customer experience culture with associates

  2. Meet and exceed personal performance objectives and overall sales goals

  3. Provide solutions and suggestions to customers’ based on their needs

  4. Participate and manage regular outbound activities with store associates

  5. Coach, develop, and motivate your sales team on personal and professional goals

  6. Complete regular sales and operational store duties, not limited to cleaning, stocking, customer calls, counting inventory, tag changing, store layout changes

  7. Adhere to company policies by ensuring accuracy, completion, and security with all sales and operational paperwork

  8. Remain updated on training and new information from company and Sprint partners; attending all meetings

  9. Lead and facilitate store team meetings

  10. Participate in recruitment efforts to ensure complete staffing; complete new hires onboarding procedures

  11. Complete store opening and closing duties

  12. Maintain high customer service scores

  13. Complete diagnostic services and next step instructions for customers

  14. Serve as the communications lead for assigned location

  15. Additional tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2 year degree preferred

  2. Previous retail sales management experience; minimum 1 year preferred

  3. Reliable transportation to accommodate immediate or advance notice of presence

  4. Flexible schedule of availability to support traditional retail hours that include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

  5. Strong communication skills with the ability to read and write the English language

  6. Basic mathematical skills; ability to use a calculator

  7. Ability to use and operate basic functions of a computer, including Microsoft Office

  8. Excellent organizational and problem solving skills

  9. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
