Major Functions and Scope:
Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function or responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate.
* Ensures safe, healthy, and organized working environment for all areas.
* Ensures all safety protocols, which are certified to OHSAS 18001, are adhered to throughout the plant.
* Follows the Quality Management System, which is certified to ISO 9001:2015 for operations, including SOP, SPI and Test Methods.
* Examines machines and equipment to diagnose the source of trouble.
* Dismantles machines and performs repairs.
* Makes necessary adjustments to machines and equipment for proper operation.
* Performs minor electrical repairs and installations.
* Performs light welding and plumbing repairs.
* Conducts scheduled preventative maintenance.
* Monitors equipment and/or processes and ensures timely reporting of any unusual problems to supervisor.
* Follows company operating procedures and guidelines.
* Performs other related duties as required.
Knowledge, Experience, Competencies and Supervision:
Describe the education, knowledge required, years of experience, specific skills and abilities required to do the job on a fully competent basis.
Education and Knowledge: Describe the educational background and knowledge that are required.
High school diploma or equivalent experience. Basic computer skills.
Experience: Describe the work experience(s) that are required.
1 or more year industrial maintenance experience.
Competencies: Describe the specific skills required for this position in terms of technical, managerial, interpersonal skills and unique abilities.
Ability to read and understand procedures in English. Effective communication skills, listening skills, attention to details, and ability to organize and retrieve information. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to manage several projects at once. Ability to work in a team environment.
