Title: Part-Time Student - Manufacturing Engineering - Waterloo, IA - 37394
Your Responsibilities
This position will assist in the Tool Design area with a variety of responsibilities. Responsibilities include:
* Completing simple tool designs using SAP and Pro-E/Creo software.
* Managing Asset and equipment Number files
* Supporting out sources tool design shops by providing/ obtaining required documentation through FTP site
* Interface and manage our fixture, gage and lifting device electronic data between our suppliers and our data systems
* Assist Tool Designers with creation of work orders, requisitions, and tracking spreadsheets
* Maintain integrity of PDMLink files, and NDS.
* Follow up with outside suppliers pertaining to delivery of designs and or tooling.
What It Takes
* Basic computer skills.
* Microsoft office software.
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Pursuing a bachelors degree an engineering discipline - Mechanical, electrical, agricultural or manufacturing technology. OR Business discipline - Finance, Accounting, Supply Management, MIS, Marketing.
* Must be registered as a full-time student at a local university
* Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
* Graduation date of May 2019 or later
* Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
* 16 - 20 hours/week during the academic year
* 35 - 40 hours/week during the summer semester
A strong candidate will also have
* Capability of reading and understand blueprints
* Understanding of Pro-E/Creo
* Basic machining skills and understanding.
