Warehouse Machine Operator

This position is responsible for producing quality C02 products and utilizing the effectiveness of the compactor by operating machinery in a safe and efficient manner. The machine operator will be cross-trained on the warehouse equipment. Job Description:

* Applies labels to C02 tanks for shipping purposes.

* Print-out and tag each tank with a date code tag.

* Sort empty tanks to prepare them for refill; refill the tanks.

* Ensure CO2 tanks that are beyond 5-year expiration dates are serviced in accordance with policy.

* Operate multiple machines, including the baler, forklift and compactor.

* Complete operational safety checks on equipment before, during, and after use.

* Load product onto delivery trucks for distribution and/or shipping utilizing a forklift.

* Complete production paperwork daily.

* Follow the standard operating procedures and safety guidelines to operate equipment efficiently and safely.

* Clean the work area immediately following each shift.

* Utilize down time to clean work areas and the overall facility, when applicable.

* Work with the Quality Assurance Department to maintain high quality standards on all raw and finished goods in the warehouse.

* Perform any other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions:

* Responsibility to apply labels to C02 tanks for shipping purposes.

* Ensure CO2 tanks that are beyond 5-year expiration dates are serviced in accordance with policy. Physical/Environmental Functions:

* Speaking: Often (communicate with other operators and leads)

* Acute Vision: Constantly (observing both near and far, reading monitors, observing the constant motion of machinery and industrial vehicles in immediate areas, etc.)

* Mobility: Frequent travel around the equipment they operate.

* Bending/Squatting: Occasional bending and squatting to clean and operate machinery.

* Dexterity: Frequent use of hands to operate machinery.

* Lifting: Lift up to 50 lbs. (from ground to waist-cases and pallets)

* Climbing: Occasional use of ladders or stairs (platform steps).

* Temperature: Occasionally work in extreme heat or cold (depending on the season)

Job Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or GED preferred with a minimum of 1-year work experience.

* Forklift Certification required.

* Capable of being cross-trained within the Warehouse department.

* Ability to read and write.

* Capable of working independently or within a team structure.

* Strong attention to detail; capable of quick responses/reactions.

* Flexibility with the schedule is required. This may include break-times, working extended hours, and the occasional weekend, when necessary, to meet customer demands.
