Allied Universal is hiring a Corporate Public Relations Manager to manage national public relations, marketing & advertising campaigns for Allied Universal, largest security solutions services company in North America. The Manager will execute media relations, crisis management, brand and culture oversight, social media strategies and client relations to showcase the full suite of integrated security offerings. The Manager will write/edit copy for strategic communications channels including publications, blogs and the company's web presence. Spearheading PR Consultants, production and placement of numerous articles in top-tier media outlets will also be a focus.

Corporate Communication

  • Assists with crafting and disseminating CEO communication company-wide
  • Conceptualizes, writes/edits, oversees production of quarterly employee and client newsletter
  • Oversees and prepares internal success stories for employee news portal
  • Ensures consistency of Corporate Communication through establishing/disseminating guidelines, procedures and advisement

Media Relations/External Communication

  • Handles media relations, serves as company spokesperson and fields/responds to reporter requests for interviews and information
  • Crafts press releases and overviews pitching to generate positive publicity and media coverage for company news, information and products & services
  • Writes blogs and contributes to articles to position the company as a thought leader on a variety of topics related to security, technology and hiring veterans
  • Supports social media efforts with strategy and content
  • Handles crisis communication and coordination of media, external and internal responses and talking points
  • Creates messages for client awareness and education, such as incident alerts and security tips and resources
  • Writes case studies to help promote company offerings and solutions

Departmental/Project Support

  • Provides marketing campaign and trade show support
  • Facilitates integrated communications and publicity for acquisitions
  • Assists sales enablement and teams: creates/edits thought leadership articles for trade and vertical association publications, crafts/reviews nurture campaigns and sponsorship copy fulfillment
  • Supports ancillary divisions’ communication activities: Systems, Janitorial, Fire/Life Safety Training and Staffing/Recruiting efforts
  • Partners with teams to secure speaking opportunities at association/trade shows
  • Facilitates award submissions for brand recognition and promoting internal successes
  • Manages the Corporate inbox: fields inquiries, complaints, concerns from the media, public & employees

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications or Marketing plus at least 5 to 7 years of Public Relations experience in an Agency or Corporate B2B Marketing Department.  In addition, we seek the following:

  • Superior, world class interpersonal and communication skills as well as solid writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, ability to meet tight deadlines as necessary
  • Dedication to high quality service delivery and integrity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Programs (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
