Job Description:
HR Director is responsible to develop and implement recruiting, talent acquisition and retention strategies that align with the vision of the company and Operator.  The HR Director will work directly with the Operator and other Directors to meet staffing needs.

Talent Acquisition:

  • Sourcing and Recruiting
    Including but not limited to: Network internally and externally to develop a talent pool; attend career fairs; present an attractive brand to potential candidates which will result in quality applicants; write job descriptions; create, maintain and update recruiting materials as needed
  • Interview and Selection
    Team Members: Review applications and select candidates to screen call. Call candidates to screen to make sure availability, communication and motivation are in align with Operator’s goals. Conduct one-on-one interview with applicants that meet these requirements. Arrange interview with Director of area candidate is applying for. Arrange orientation for hired candidates.

    Leadership: All applicants seeking a leadership role will be hired as a team member, but in the Leadership Development Program (LDP).  Screen candidates same as team members. Conduct one-on-one interviews with applicants. If selected, arrange interview with Operator. If Operator approves, perform reference checks then arrange a group interview with current leadership. Coordinate orientation.

 Retention Initiatives:

  • Continually access team morale through observation and speaking to staff at all levels.
  • Plan quarterly team outings
  • Plan quarterly team meetings/leadership development workshops
  • Coordinate Team Member assessment/survey’s to evaluate team morale. Plan follow up meetings as needed with Team Members. Communicate findings to Director’s and Operator.
  • Communicate with Team Members and respond in a timely manner regarding questions they may have (i.e. payroll questions, direct deposit, health insurance, uniform request, relationship with staff, etc.)
  • Coordinate and plan a dinner quarterly for new team members for vision casting by Operator.

Growth and Development:
Assist Director’s in developing current Team Members who have expressed a desire to grow and develop and are looking for promotion opportunities.

Other:

  • Payroll
  • Order uniforms
  • Discuss staffing conflicts with directors and assist in conflict resolutions meetings as needed and available
  • Communicate and work with Directors and  Assistant Directors to encourage team work collaboration
  • Peer mentoring
  • Assist operator with yearly business plan
  • Oversee contracts (maintenance, utilities, etc.)
  • Write letters of recommendation or reference letters
  • Oversee Chick-fil-A Scholarship program
  • Employee Recognition (birthday, special life events, promotion, etc.)
  • Various administrative tasks as needed
  • Other tasks given by operator

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
  • 2-3 years experience in Human Resources
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and able to lead human resources initiatives
  • Ability to understand how the needs of the business and strategy are connected to hiring and align the staff accordingly
  • Strong work ethic and team player attitude
  • Able to work both independently and as a part of the team
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize the work load
  • Servant leader
