Our client is seeking a Contract Specialist to join their team!
This is a full time, permanent position.
Location: near Valley Stream, NY
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
-Prepare and review contracts as well as oversee contracts signed by the company
-Understand the terms and conditions of the contracts and track and monitor all changes to contracts
-Establish an open line of communication with general contractors
-Communicate with contractors for for missing support and/or revisions on the contracts
-Facilitate compliance with Minority and Women owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) requirements by coordinating the effort between multiple departments
-Meet with staff to review requirements set forth by the contract, which include, but are not limited to, WBE/MBE, billing, purchasing, PLA payroll and labor rates, bonds, allowance. Insurance, capital improvements and exempt status projects
Requirements
-Prior experience working within the construction or mechanical industry a plus
-Strong administrative skills
-Computer proficiency with MS Office
-Excellent customer service skills
-Ability to work well with others
-Great attention to detail
Salary is contingent upon experience.
