Moveyour Career forward with Airgas as an INSTALLER/SERVICE TECHNICIAN at our Nashville, TN facility!

Responsible for installation of new Bulk CO2 product systems aswell as preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of existing productsupply systems in a safe and substantial manner, in accordance with allfederal, state and local codes, and Airgas policies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• InstallsC02 bulk systems at both Airgas facilities and customer sites.
• Performsall related duties to deliver product and supplies to assigned customers
• Rotatingweekends.
• Immediatelynotify the Field Service Tech Supervisor of any malfunctions or condition onequipment which requires immediate action.
• Analyzeand make general repairs and maintenance of new and existing Bulk C02 systems.
• Installdecals and warning signs for the proper identification of hazards, warnings,ownership, normal operational settings, emergency contacts, etc.
• Traincustomer personnel in the operation of equipment.
• Inspectvehicle before and after use according to DOT and company maintenancechecklist.
• LoadingMicrobulk tanks, filling customer owned bulk tanks as assigned.
• Maintainload manifests and all other vehicle documents, ensuring they are properlycompleted and balanced with truck counts and shipping documents before andafter deliveries.
• Workclosely with customers to ensure Airgas meets their expectations, listen to andresolve customer complaints.
• Reviewsstructural drawings and plans to assure the appropriateness of the pad designand layout of proposed sites.
• Performsannual inspections of all bulk installation sites to assure their condition andcorrect operation.
• Maintainsan appropriate stock of recommended parts necessary to repair typicalinstallations operated by the hub.

ADDITIONALRESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operateforklift and other equipment as required.
• Performas backup driver during vacations and other periods of personnel shortages.
• Otherduties and projects as assigned.
• Someafterhours may be required.
• Mayalso be called by customers for emergencies.

EXPERIENCE, LICENSES AND EDUCATION:

• Must be at least25 years of age.
• Minimum of 3 yearsof verifiable commercial driving experience within the past 4 years.
• Graduation froman accredited truck driving school will count as 1 year of required experience.
• Minimum CDL –Class B
• HAZMAT and Tankerendorsement
• Industry andrelated product knowledge, as well as experience handling compressed gasespreferred.
• Previousexperience in plumbing, cable installation or tank installation preferred.
• Basic computerknowledge.
• High schooldiploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Abilityto read blueprints and design specifications, manufacturer drawings,architectural drawings related to bulk delivery sites associated with customerinstallations.
• Abilityto perform mathematical calculations
• Abilityto routinely lift 25 – 60 lbs.
• Abilityto read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Mustbe able to work occasional overtime, if necessary
• Mustbe able to communicate and work with a wide variety of people with differentpersonalities and background in a professional and courteous manner
