Aerotek is currently hiring Press Brake Operators in Roanoke, VA. This is a full time, contract-to-hire role with a reputable metal fabrication company in the Roanoke Valley.
Summary:
-Operate CNC and manual machinery on the production floor
-Set up and operate Press Break, but could be involved in operating shears, CNC machines, and other metal fabrication equipment if needed.
-Read and understand blue prints
-Measure parts with caliper or gauges
-Pay close attention to detail
-Keep work area clean and organized, and have the ability to multitask.
-Operates other machinery to include punch press shear as needed.
-Follows blueprints to identify specific designs.
-Operates overhead crane and hoist to position material at desired locations.
This position requires candidates to retrieve work orders and blue prints to get a good understanding of how to set up the press brake machine to create the parts needed for the job at hand.
Minimum Qualifications:
-Minimum of 1 years work experience in manufacturing/production within materials
-High school diploma or GED.
-Basic reading, writing and math skills.
-Must have the physical capability to lift 75 lbs. from floor to waist, carry 75 lbs. for approximately 20 feet, walk/sit/stand for 2 hours consistent
