 The Lift Operator Lead is responsible for supervising lift operators and assisting guests with getting on and off of aerial and surface lifts, operation of lifts; including inspection and testing before opening. The Lift Operator Lead works under the direction of the Lift Operations Team Lead and Managers.

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • The Lift Lead is responsible for continually remaining vigilant to the needs of the equipment, the department, and the guests and react to those needs in the safest manner while maintaining friendly, helpful, and quality service. 
  • Follow the "guest service" guidelines and make guest service a top priority.
  • Applicants should be prepared to learn, understand and follow the procedures, standards and techniques spelled out in the Lift Operations Training Program and other required training sessions. 
  • Train, inspect, and lead the operation of assigned lift in accordance with ANSI, departmental procedures and written or verbal instruction.
  • May assist team leads and assume his/her duties in their absence.
  • Regularly outside and exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme weather conditions.
  • Operation of assigned lift in accordance with departmental procedures and policies.
  • Greets every guest as they enter line queues and assists guests while loading lift.
  • Provide Direction and assist with shoveling and raking snow and ice on a regular basis to maintain area.
  • Group appropriate number of guests to load chair in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Creating the maze and safe-loading/unloading areas, using appropriate tools.
  • Resolving guest conflict using resort policies and procedures.
  • Completes daily lift logs, opening and closing procedures.
  • Emptying trash containers; maintain accuracy on information given to guests, and quality of ramps and mazes.
  • Communicates problems to superiors, while showing initiative in handling routine matters and emergencies.
  • Travels over the snow on either skis or snowboard to and from work assignments following all resort policies and procedures regarding designated trails.
  • Contribute to team effort by participating in Job Sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort, safety of guests and employees; participating in safety meetings, accepting diverse assignments, maintain a positive and friendly attitude and in all internal and external interactions.
  • Must comply with the uniform, appearance, and attendance standards.
  •  Maintain a positive and friendly attitude with internal and external interactions.
  • Flexible working hours. 

Requirements:

  • Genuinely positive, can converse with ease.
  • One to three months related experience.
