The Mountain Finance Team is committed to Building Leaders and Driving Value.  The team performs comprehensive financial planning, forecasting and analysis to enable the company to align its resources with the achievement of its strategic goals- both long term and short term.  The Mountain Finance team works closely with the resort leadership and management team, along with the broader Finance organization in Broomfield.

 

Essential job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Drive financial and performance measurement tools and analysis for skier services
  • Support the Finance Director in the financial management of the resort
  • Direct partner with skier services for financial support to drive the business
  • Prepare annual operating budgets and annual capital budgets in conjunction with managers and other analysts
  • Prepare monthly forecasts
  • Prepare monthly waterfalls and variance explanations for Corporate Finance and Accounting
  • Review and give feedback to managers on monthly financial results
  • Produce financial analysis to aid in critical business decision-making and labor management
  • Run transaction and sales detail reports to verify data and financial reporting accuracy
  • Provide business support and ad hoc financial analysis (product mix, pricing, labor spend, business performance, Data)
  • Anticipate changes in the business and advise on efficiencies and improvements
  • Support Skier Services departments with accuracy of online product pricing and timing
  • Manage and ensure accuracy and compliance with skier services payroll activities
  • Miscellaneous duties as needed within skier services

 

 

Requirements:

4+ years of experience (or 1-2 years with MBA or other graduate degree) in finance with demonstrated success in financial modeling and analysis.   The ideal candidate should have experience coordinating all financial planning and analysis functions, including annual budget, capital budgeting, long-term strategic planning and resource allocation processes.
