The Terrain Park Grooming Specialist will assist the Terrain Park Manager and Terrain Park Grooming Supervisor in the overall delivery of the terrain park experience for our employees and guests.  This individual is responsible to assist with the development of all features, including jumps, halfpipes, quarterpipes, boarder cross’s, contest and special event venues. The specialist will also assist with the supervision, training, and motivation of other operators.  The Terrain Park Grooming Specialist will perform a daily risk management assessment of all recently executed projects and will be responsible for constructing features and pipe products that differentiate our parks from other programs due to overall quality. The specialist will assist with developing and managing a training program to ensure that other operators can perform at the highest level regarding all general maintenance in parks and pipes.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Halfpipe construction and daily maintenance
    • For all Pipes - 13', 18', 22' and various quarterpipes
    • Tubing Hill construction and maintenance
    • Must be able to to plan halpipe development and maintenance schedule
  • Boarder Cross Build including, but not limited to intial layout, construction and daily maintenance
  • Winch operations
    • All around run grading, halfpipe maintenance, and Terrain Park Jump Feature maintenance
  • Park Construction
    • Must be able to construct every type of Terrain Park feature for both public and private participation
  • Leadership
    • Must be able to develop a  halfpipe operator training program and assist eith employee development
    • Must be flexible with work schedule to assure timely construction of park products
    • Assist terrain park manager and grooming supervisor with the training, coaching, supervising, and leading of terrain park operators
    • Lead terrain park attendants to effectively monitor and maintenance all terrain parks, half pipes, events, and other areas of responsibility throughout the day
  • Perform a Daily assessment of risk, feature inspections and determine daily maintenance required on transitional features.
  • Assist all supervisors and terrain park manager in planning with all associated features, trails, special events, and other construction plans
  • Act as role model regarding employee development and guest service related initiatives
  • Assist in all trainings for operators including all daily objectives and special projects needs
  • Other duties as assigned by Terrain Park Manager/ Day Staff supervisor

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Minimum of  10 years of prior terrain park experience
  • Minimum of 3 season of supervisory experience
  • Must be competent in Microsoft office
  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalency
  • Must be able to pass a Level 7 skiing/riding ability test
  • Must have own ski or ride equipment
  • Must be able to lift over 50lbs.
