The Houseperson is expected to adhere to the company’s mission, vision and value statements. Be knowledgeable of the company’s management systems, policies and initiatives for Hospitality, Environmental, and Health and Safety.  You have specific responsibilities within these areas and are expected to understand them.  You will be responsible for the assistance in cleaning of guest rooms and cottages in an assigned area according to training procedures. Additionally, you will keep housekeeping storage areas clean, stocked and organized every day.  There will be housekeeping and guest requests called in that you will be responding to in a timely manner as well.  Equally as important, you are here to have some fun too! 

 

The Houseperson responsibilities at Jackson Lake Lodge include, but are not limited to:

  • Support housekeeping staff by ensuring that they have the supplies needed to perform their job
  • Deliver supplies on a golf cart to the appropriate locations, must have clean driving record and must be able to drive a golf cart in a safe manner
  • Ensure that all housekeeping closets are kept stocked, neat and orderly at all times
  • Deliver large supplies of linen and other supplies to the housekeeping closets; maintain very high levels of organization by putting away all supplies upon delivery
  • Maintain an inventory of where certain supplies are located around the property to assist all team members
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of all bathrooms inside the housekeeping closets
  • Must be able to clearly communicate with guests, other staff members as well as management
  • Respond to calls from the housekeeping office, hotel operator and front desk
  • Remove dirty linen, trash and recycling from housekeeping closets
  • Maintain the correct par levels of supplies and linen in all housekeeping closets
  • Must be able to work outside in all conditions
  • Assist the Housekeeping Department in other projects as needed
  • Be able to work independently
  • Hours and shifts vary due to weather and occupancy levels
  • Other duties as assigned

 

The Houseperson position asks that any candidate be able to demonstrate the following skills or experience:

  • Previous hotel/hospitality experience – Preferred
  • Fluent in speaking, reading and writing English - Required
  • Strong communication skills - Required
  • Ability to perform well under pressure - Required
  • Valid Driver’s License  - Required
  • Knowledge of a property management system (Visual One desirable)
