Cable Assemblers (Wire Harnessing-1st shif and 2nd shift)

Aerotek is currently seeking Cable Assemblers for an Aerospace company in Poway. Below is the job description and qualifications:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assembles components, assemblies or sub-assemblies.
• IPC-620 certified for crimple and solder techniques.
• Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to specifications.
• Performs duties as required in assembly of electronic equipment such as cables, harnesses, chassis, and printed circuit boards, or may perform mechanical assembly of panels, LRs, batteries, and servo motors.
• Build and test cables.
• Solder wires and components (including surface mount components) to prototype engineering circuit boards and cables.
• Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble assemblies or sub assemblies.
• Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
• Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Additional Qualifications

Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and three or more years of experience. Must be customer focused and possess:

(1) the ability to communicate and understand written and verbal communication

(2) the ability to read assembly documentation such as diagrams, drawings, specifications, work instructions and wire lists

(3) familiarity with use of soldering and compression connection tools

(4) knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the position

(5) good visual perception and ability to distinguish between colors. *The ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.

Pay Rate: $17.00 - 19.00 Per Hour- (2) Level II openings

Pay Rate: $19.00- 22.00 Per Hour (1) Level III Opening
