Do you have a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and experience driving trucks and tractor trailers? As a Spotter/Truck Driver you’ll be responsible for the movement of trailers between pads, doors and buildings on a timely basis. You’ll also be responsible for moving trailers around the lot and preparing them to be loaded, as well as shuttling trailers to offsite locations. Your organizational skills will be critical in your efforts to maintain a neat and orderly lot to maximize efficiency. You’ll safely operate the Yard Truck to transfer trailers between doors and staging pads. Your attention to detail is critical, as this is a low mileage severe duty function requiring particular attention to preventive maintenance checks and services as well as actual scheduled vehicle maintenance. You’ll work on a variety of surfaces including asphalt, concrete and gravel surfaces in an environment often contaminated with material subject to embedding in tires.

Responsibilities:

• Timely movements of trailers in the yard
• Communicate with warehouse staff via two way radio
• Performing lot and door checks
• Sliding tandems to meet state bridge laws
• Checking trailers for safety
• Other duties as assigned
• Use two-way radio with sort operator, shipping lead and shipping supervisor.

Class A CDL with current medical card required. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and must be able to work a flexible schedule; including early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays as required. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move boxes weighing 40 lbs. or more and the ability to stand for extended periods of time. Candidates must also have sufficient strength and dexterity to control tractor and hitch full or empty trailers, as well as eye/hand coordination.

As a DC Associate, you are an important part of the supply chain team, assisting with the flow of merchandise and material during the distribution process. You’ll be responsible for the accurate, efficient and safe handling of merchandise during all phases of receiving, storage, and shipping. We offer a variety of first shift, second shift and third shift opportunities in our warehouses and distribution center facilities including jobs like: Laborers, Material Handlers, Stocking, Receiving and Shipping Associates, Ticketers, Sorters, Traffic Control, Maintenance Associates and Inventory Control, among others.

Responsibilities:

• Receiving, off-loading, sorting, storing and retrieving product which will require lifting cartons and placing on/removing from conveyor.
• Use of box-cutter to open cartons, as well as tape gun, gum labels and label making equipment to size, secure, and affix tickets to merchandise.
• Ensuring accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Use of radio frequency (RF) scanners.
• Entering receiving information into computers.
• Building pallets of cartons.
• Operation of forklift, pallet jack, and/or other heavy equipment.
• Maintaining clean and safe work area in compliance with safety standards.
