On-Call Weekend CAREGiver:
Compensation - $100.00 stipend per weekend and ADDITIONAL hourly compensation based on client/care provided.
Hours - Friday beginning 5:30 pm through Monday 8:00 am days, evenings, overnights possible within Windham and Tolland Counties.
Must be willing to work with both male and female clients must be able to work in a home with pets (i.e. dogs, cats).
CAREGIVER MAY BE CALLED TO COVER SHORT NOTICE SHIFTS AND/OR CONDUCT CAREGIVER INTRODUCTIONS.
If you turn down any shift while on-call, you will forfeit the on-call stipend.
Home Instead Senior Care is looking for a caring and compassionate Weekend On-Call CAREGiver to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
- Medication and appointment reminders
- Assistance with grooming and bathing
- Assistance with toileting and incontinence care
- Assistance with transfers and ambulation
- Companionship and client engagement
Requirements to be an On-Call CAREGiver:
- A minimum of 2 years personal care experience required CNA preferred.
- Must complete mandatory in-house Personal Care and Alzheimer's/Dementia training courses.
- Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
- Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
- Complete a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen
- Possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and valid auto insurance
