Radar Technician / Service Technician

Aerotek is seekign for a full time / direct hire Radar Technician.

Responsibilities:

These systems are installed at a number of mine sites throughout Nevada, Utah and Colorado to monitor open pit mines. The radar systems require monthly service and calibration to ensure operation by a factory trained technician.

The Field Service Technician will travel to perform a scheduled monthly service and as well trouble-shoot radar system fails while in operation. The technician will have the support of other factory trained personnel located at in Salt Lake City and Denver.

Specific Responsibilities

1. Great sense of safety at job sites (open mine pits)
2. Able to perform electro mechanical PM and repairs on equipment, including service of electromechanical components and software
3. Initial and recurrent technical training of the equipment
4. Computer skills: Office 365, Linux skills helpful

Working Conditions

1. Outdoors environment subject to weather conditions.
2. Heavy lifting required during installations and repairs
3. Bending and kneeling often to perform normal service and repairs
4. Use of ladders may be required
5. Driving up to 8 hours per day for mobilization
6. Airline travel to mining sites in Salt Lake City, Elko and Colorado

Requirements

A.A,S in Electronic Engineering preferred

2-3 years experience as technician in the electronics field

Stable work history and references

Excellent at handling customers in a professional way

Valid driver's license, company will provide company vehicle

$25-30/hour Direct Hire, full benefits starting almost immediately

A drug screen and criminal background check is required
