Our client in Herndon VA is immeadiatly hiring for a contract manufacturing buyer. This individual will be responsible for contract manufacturing performance and support the effort in creating continuous improvement and facilitate effective problem solving. Pay will vary based on years of experience.
Job Qualifications
- 5+ years of buying experience
- Bachelors Degree in business, engineering, or supply chain management
- Experience in a high tech environment
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and support multiple tasks
- Problem solving abilities
- Proficient with excel and Microsoft office
- Experience with ERP system, preferably Oracle or Agile
Job Responsibilities
- This role will be responsible for the tactical aspect of purchasing.
- On a daily basis candidates will be issuing purchase orders and PO maintenance of existing POs.
- Work closely to ensure accuracy of inbound goods with PO, resolve issues in area of supplier invoice discrepancies in regards of existing PO, work with Accounts Payable to facilitate smooth payment process and resolve potential payment/invoice issue, analyze and track performance against budget and provide results to management.
- Work with CM manager to negotiate the price and minimize the purchase price variance.
- Ensure on time deliveries by monitoring the material, capacity status in CM under direction of CM Manager, effective and continual communication of order status, delivery dates, and changes to all invested parties.
