We Partner with healthcare facilities in DFW under the Texas Health, Baylor, or Texas Oncology Umbrellas. These positions require a Certification through NHA, NAHP, or NCCT (CCMA, NRCMA, RMA) in order to login to Electronic Medical Record Systems such as EPIC.

Overview: Certified MA Opening in Prosper, TX

  • This practice focuses on rehabilitation and ongoing wellness
  • This CMA will assist a family practice that supports 20-27 patients daily
  • $15-17/hr based on experience
  • M-F 8am-5pm
  • 2 years of experience is preferred that includes usage of EMR software (EPIC preferred) and routine back office duties such as taking vitals, preparing rooms, EKGs, as well as phlebotomy

Overview: Certified MA Opening in Allen, TX

  • This clinic focuses on cardiology with 4 Providers
  • This CMA will support 1 provider who sees on average of 18 patients a day
  • Pay Ranges from $15-17 hour depending on experience
  • Proof of HS diploma and Certification for Medical
  • Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
  • 2 years of Experience is preferred, that includes usage of EMR software (EPIC preferred) and routine back office duties such as taking vitals, preparing rooms, EKGs, etc
  • Note: there are 2 dedicated phlebotomists on site

  • Proof of Certification (NHA, NAHP, NCCT) is required
  • If offered a position, must be willing to complete all required medical / employment compliance

CMA/MA Job Description:

Reporting to the Practice Manager and taking direction from the health care provider, the Medical Assistant is responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes the safety and well being of all patients. Accurately performs preliminary physical tests such as measuring blood pressure, recording weight, temperature, pulse, respirations, and other measures as directed by established clinical protocols. May be required to work evenings and/or weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
  • Performs general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
  • Obtain and record vital signs including but not limited to, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem.
  • May perform routine tests including but not limited to EKG's.
  • May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topically, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant administration.
  • Documents patient plan(s) of care, tests and examination results in the medical record as directed by the provider.
  • Schedules patients for diagnostic testing, follows up to ensure completion of testing, and Communicates with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by provider.
  • Prepares, cleans and sterilizes instruments, maintains equipment, and keeps patient exam rooms clean, stocked, orderly, and disposes of contaminated items including sharps according to protocol.
  • Escalates non-routine issues, questions and/or concerns to the practice manager or healthcare provider(s).
  • Ensure safety checklists/quality controls are completed as required.
  • Provides for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by practice manager, MA Lead or as requested by healthcare provider(s).
  • Ability to accurately perform EKGs, draw blood and administer injections.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients verbally and in written form.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of the meaning and use of medical terminology and abbreviations.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and composure with the ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations.
  • Demonstrates respect and compassion towards patients, family members and all members of the healthcare team.
  • Good computer skills using a medical management application.
