Job Description

With views of the Atlantic Ocean and our multi-tiered poolscape, Oceanside is flip-flop friendly, offering lunch daily and a specialty menu at night. Designed to make the most of pool and beachside dining, this restaurant focuses on fresh simplicity with a mix of Florida and Caribbean flavors.

The Restaurant Supervisor of Oceanside will support the Oceanside General Manager and Assistant Managers with providing ongoing to training to associates, new hire trainings to new associates, responding to guest complaints, opening and closing restaurant and other MOD duties during shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall management of scheduled shift.
  • Complete opening and closing procedures according to checklist for dining room.
  • Spot check liquor pars and order daily supplies.
  • Hold pre-meal meetings.
  • Follow up on established training steps.
  • Handle guest comments and complaints and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Communicate with guests and receive feedback.
  • Stay on the floor during peak hours.
  • Observe, teach and correct staff's service.
  • Examine food preparation and beverage presentation.
  • Maintain condition of dining room, both bars, Twisted yogurt stand, outdoor patio and pool deck tiers.
  • Assist manager in; scheduling, completing weekly payroll, and forecasting both weekly and monthly.
  • Participate in interviewing new employees as needed.
  • Prepare maintenance request and follow-up.
  • Monitor food and liquor requisitions and food waste.
  • Check bar controls, shot glass use, red lining, and bottles totally empty daily.

Qualifications

  • Oceanside is located on the resort's pool deck. Qualified candidate must be able to navigate the multiple levels of the pool deck, inside and outside the restaurant, behind both outdoor bars and Twisted yogurt stand.
  • Must be able to withstand varying temperatures, exposure to sun light, rain, wind and other elements.
  • Must be comfortable working around water/pools.
  • Must be able to step in and cover Bartending, Serving, Hosting and Dining Room Attendant shift due to call outs or increase business during a shift.
  • Must have previous restaurant experience as either a Supervisor or Trainer in a full service restaurant.
  • Understanding of cost and par controls strongly preferred.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have liquor, wine and beer knowledge and ability to comply with laws.
  • Must obtain TIPS certification prior to hire.
  • Positions requires weekends (both Saturday and Sunday), holidays, and various shifts.
