Job Summary Statement:Responsible for overseeing orders for all International territories (China, UK, AUS, Japan, etc.) ensuring the timely flow of orders from the time they are received, until the order is shipped.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:•Receive and review purchase orders for correct pricing, payment terms, cube (volume), freight terms, model numbers and quantities.•Ensures shipment process follows compliance within US/foreign government regulations.•Enter orders into the Oracle system for faxed and EDI generated orders. •Works directly with Igloo’s freight forwarder and their agents to assure delivery of proper Export documents.•Work closely with the distribution department to expedite orders, request shipping information when necessary and verify that shipments have been scheduled on special services accounts. •Review Letter of Credits and issue pro forma invoices to customers.•Monitor customer vendor report cards and vendor agreements to achieve maximum performance results.•Assist customers by phone/email when expediting orders, verifying items and placement of emergency orders.•Track orders and research issues with price correction, program information and order process and communicate information to sales team and customers.•Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications: • Education: High School degree or equivalency. • Experience: Three (3) years of customer service experience and Two (2) years of international freight experience. • Excels in time management, multi-tasking and balancing multiple requests at one time. • Demonstrates the ability to follow directions and change priorities or job duties as business needs require; rotate to other department functions as needed. • Strong attention to detail. • Some overtime and Saturdays required. • Able to read, write, speak and comprehend English. • Able to add, subtract, multiple and divide. • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP systems. Preferred Qualifications: • College Degree • Oracle Program Knowledge. • Discover Program Knowledge. • Experience in manufacturing environment. • Knowledge and understanding of Letter of Credit language and understanding of commercial and international terminology. • Knowledge of container shipment requirements.
