Job Description

To ensure guest, visitor and associate safety. To protect property assets, identify safety hazards and prevent overall property loss.

Responsibilities

* Perform a minimum of 2 rounds per shift to ensure hotel safety.

* Security rounds of the hotel as follows:

* Ballrooms and meeting spaces

* All hotel floors

* All common areas (Including: Pool, Lobby, Restaurants, Coffee shops, etc.)

* Sales and executive offices

* All associate areas

* Guest and associate parking areas

* Identify suspicious individuals and protect the hotel from any non authorized individuals who are not conducting legitimate business within the premises.

* Perform property inspections at a minimum of once per shift to ensure guest and associate safety. Record all inspections and complete the provided form. Any urgent items must be reported to the Guest Services Manager and Manager on Duty immediately.

* Perform, at a minimum of once per shift, guest and associate vehicle inspection and record findings in the "High Risk Vehicle Report"

* Attend to all situations in a professional, courteous, tactful, and helpful manner but also firm in enforcing hotel policies and procedures.

* Complete daily log during each shift to ensure good department communication and proper pass on for upcoming shifts. Report will contain any incidents, rounds, follow ups, inspections, or any other activity completed during any given shift.

* Be a first responder and complete incident reports for any type of reported situations (Emergencies, disturbances, theft, injuries, etc.). Be as detailed as possible during the investigation process and document as much as possible. Also contact the proper authorities if necessary and report any situation immediately to the Guest Services Manager and the Manager on Duty.

* Complete key inventories at the beginning of each shift to ensure that all property keys area counted for.

* Use two way radios for communication purposes. Become familiar with all property radio codes and use them accordingly. Maintain a professional radio etiquette at all times.

* Monitor all outgoing equipment and packages to protect property assets. Ensure all outgoing items have their proper authorization form. Unauthorized items are to be confiscated immediately and reported to the Guest Services Manager and Manager on Duty.

* Handle all outgoing and incoming packages. For incoming packages: Log in all received packages in a timely manner to maintain an updated package list (Go Concierge system). For outgoing: Receive and coordinate all package deliveries accordingly. Close out any related items.

* Verify identity of any non-staff personnel. Ensure that any non-staff personnel are authorized before entering premises. Collect a Photo id and hand out a visitor pass for proper identification while on property. Also complete the visitor log sheet accordingly.

* Perform additional duties as required by business demands. Providing luggage assistance for guest, valet parking, and overnight room service orders might be required occasionally.

Qualifications

* Must be able to stand and walk for up to 4 hours per shift.

* Must be able to communicate effectively by telephone, email, radio and reporting.

* Must have basic computer knowledge.

* Must be able to reach various areas of the hotel/resort at a rapid pace if necessary.

* First Aid/CPR Certification is preferred.

* Must be 21 years of age or older.

* Must have valid Texas driver's license and clean driving record.

* Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.

* Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, overnight shifts, weekends and holidays.
