Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a full time Registered Occupational Health Nurse / RN at the Federal Bureau of Investigation Headquarters in Washington, DC.

This Registered Nurse / RN position offers:

  • Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. 
  • No weekend, holiday, or on-call responsibilities
  • Active license in VA, DC, and MD

  • Must be able to float to other required locations in Quantico, VA

Tasks:

  • Provide evaluation and treatment of ill and injured employees according to FBI nursing protocols.
  • Administer and interpret Mantoux TB skin tests; perform screening evaluations, electrocardiographs, venipuncture, and vision exams.
  • Perform audiology, pulmonary function spirometry testing, and assist with stress testing. (FBIHQ location only)
  • Perform first responder, triage, treating illness and injuries, and referring cases to staff MOs as needed.
  • Administer routine and travel immunizations (all locations) and allergy immunizations. (FBIHQ Only)
  • Counsel employees regarding health and wellness issues, test results, arranging physical exams and test, and assisting MOs in performance of exams.
  • May be required to drive specially equipped emergency vehicle or other government vehicle to respond to emergencies, perform AED checks, visit offsite locations, or perform other duties as assigned
  • Reports to the area clinic manager and/or the nurse coordinator

The Registered Nurse / RN will require:

  • Graduate from a Registered Nurse (RN) training program from a university or college that is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in
  • Nursing (ACEN), National Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)
  • Current certification in Occupational Hearing Conservation (HQ Clinic only)
  • Current certification in performing spirometry examinations to report pulmonary function studies as approved by the National Institute for Safety and Health. (HQ Clinic only).
  • Maintain training and certification in Health Care Provider CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) skills.
  • Have at least two (2) years of previous clinical experience as an RN
  • Have and maintain a valid state driver’s license
  • US citizenship required
