Job Description

Our Renton based client is well established and fast growing in the quality Pet Food Industry! We are seeking a Sanitation Supervisor for long-term employment. Shift available 8:00 PM - 5:00 AM (Graveyard)

Purpose: This is a working position responsible for providing leadership and hands-on direction to the sanitation team on a daily basis, ensuring sanitation work is completed according established procedures and in conformance to the Master Sanitation Schedule for food production, storage areas and equipment in order to maximize food safety and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years in leadership role, 2- years sanitation experience, 3 years food processing environment or education can be offset with work experience.

• Preferred HACCP certification

• Preferred Bachelor’s of science in Biology, food science, chemistry, microbiology

• Knowledge of HACCP and GMP’s

• Familiarity with and use of, cleaning chemicals and PPM monitoring and recording.

• Demonstrated experience as key member of a sanitation crew

• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures.

Key Tasks and responsibilities:

• Lead sanitation team to ensure proper cleaning of equipment and facility per schedule to ensure all sanitation work is completed as required.

• Maintain knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their application

• Stay informed and compliant with the Master Sanitation Schedule

• Train, schedule and provide hands-on direction to sanitation team

• Assign specific work assignments to team members and follow up to ensure completion

• Conduct swabbing tests and maintain records accordingly

• Conducts Pre-Opp after cleaning and signs off for production to start

• Maintain sanitation records as necessary

• Ensure production area is ready for hand-off to the production crew as scheduled.

• Certified to operate forklifts, scissor lift, and electric pallet jack

Requirements:
