Technician - Set Up - Injection Molding - Full-time / Part-time

Desired results of the job:This position is responsible for setting up injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment for the production process of cooler related products within standard and goals.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:•Set-up injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment per production requirements.•Assist and provide training to the injection molding operators.•Ensure that set-ups are completed safely, correctly and efficiently by following safe working practices are followed and all accidents, hazards, near misses, and property damage are reported in the required time.•Operate forklift to transport molds.•Remain current on forklift training and certification as required by supervisor, manager, and/or Igloo Safety.•Complete  required paperwork.•Responsible for mold changes and set-ups.•Conduct minor repairs. •Primary responsibility for the set-up. •Primary responsibility from the seeking of solutions for technical problems associated with assigned processes.•Verification of tooling, instructions, and materials prior to use on assigned processes.•Promote Safety and Quality and Environmental awareness.•Ensure that safety and quality requirements are fulfilled.•Ensure work area(s) are maintained in a clean and organized manner.•Stop the production of non-conforming product as recommended by management.•Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

Education:  High School Diploma or equivalency.
Experience: Minimum 1 year experience as injection mold operator; 6 months experience operating a sit down gas powered forklift. 
English language skills:  Able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
Math skills:  Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Physical Demands: Able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. multiple times a day during a 12 hr. shift; Bend and stand in difficult positions up to 12 hours; Able to manipulate tools with both hands and stand for long hours.
Work environment: Warehouse environment hot and humid in summer months, cold in winter months. High noise requiring use of hearing protection.
Must have own tools.
Must maintain forklift certification issued by Igloo.
