About this job

Our client is looking to hire a Contract Manager to join their team! In this role, you will be responsible for managing critical contractual formation and management, obligations of high risk and visibility. You will need to bring a high degree of independent and creative judgment applied to highest-level goals and objectives of the corporation and an understanding of FAR/DFARS, GSA Federal Schedules, Federal IDIQ, GWAC contracts and supplemental acquisition regulations of government agencies.

Establishes highest-level contract strategy and drives implementation of strategic contract opportunities with the most significant impact to the corporation, to include experience with a variety of IT related Services and Products that flow through the division, while working closely with the internal team (the Project Manager, Account Manager or Business Developer, Operations, Project Controller, etc.)
Experience working for a Small Business and/or an 8(a), ANC is a plus, as this type of atmosphere and culture are very different from working for a large integrator/organization
Provides contractual domain expertise in implementation, execution and administration for both competitive type contracts as well as sole source, directed awards on the Prime contract side, Reseller Agreements, as well as some Subcontract/Procurement support
Works with different contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost Plus and hybrids), modifies contracts and exercises options, terminates and closes out contracts
Provides guidance and leadership to cross-functional business team members to identify risk assessment and mitigation
Successfully work with lots of different folks/personalities within the internal team and setting/managing expectations
May mentor less-experienced contract professionals
May provide formal training in contract domain expertise
Champions contract policy and procedure revision and improvement
Leads contract negotiation
Understands the business case and has an appreciation of financial/analytical issues and profit and loss implications

Minimum of high school diploma or G.E.D.
Minimum of 8 years' relevant contract administration experience required.
A four year degree from an accredited university in a related field of study may substitute for experience plus 2 years of related experience.
