The Marketing Director manages the day-to-day operations of the Company's retail marketing promotions, product-focus initiatives, social media campaigns, and supporting demographics. The role will encompass the development of well-crafted, creative, and engaging store marketing materials utilizing digital mediums and content. The Director will track retail transactions, impressions, and campaign results executed across retail platforms to drive revenue growth, increased guest engagement, and product sales. The role will promote consistency among the Company's retail divisions and segments, ensuring all brand platforms are represented and optimized.

  • Executes, manages, and modifies retail marketing strategies against Key Performance Indicators for retail activation, which may include but are not limited to: transactions, impressions, consumer engagement, demographics, product sales, maximizing ROI sponsor retention.
  • Manages retail activation process and platforms development by property to create consistent execution across the organization.
  • Leverages partners and relationships to develop ancillary retail revenue opportunities and cross property visitation pre and post initiatives.
  • Leads marketing reviews and meetings in close collaboration with property and corporate retail teams.
  • Supports project management and outside agency teams in the creation, planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring of corporate retail initiatives including communication across all supporting properties.
  • Develops, presents, and implements a comprehensive retail marketing strategy with respective budget parameters, calendar planning, and expected target audience results
  • Partners with key retail stakeholders to ensure successful development of ancillary revenue, pricing, upselling, and suggestive selling opportunities and cross property visitation.
  • Collaborates with sponsorship sales teams throughout contracting process.
  • Promotes the retail division at select industry conferences, real estate expos, and business development events
  • Manages and executes ongoing social media activities in alignment with corporate and brand social media platforms including, but not limited to, the development and execution of retail campaigns delivered across various social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, You Tube, and Pinterest;
  • Identifies and manages the results of social media marketing campaigns that are implemented to drive organic, paid and earned social media efforts.
  • Monitors retail trends and new social media marketing opportunities as they become available and leverages them to execute new campaigns.
  • Develops strategies that optimize social media programs to increase consumer interaction and drive incremental sales across brand pages.
  • Collaborates with Creative and Public Relations for online retail content development and implementation including images, infographics, videos and blogs.
  • Designs the Retail marketing strategy with accompanying required budget and resources to execute marketing programs that are innovative and demonstrate return on investment.
  • Supports buying team with demographics metrics to optimize merchandise buys and drive revenue growth.
  • Develops media relations strategy and acts as local retail ambassador to media, potential clients and influencers to build strategic partnerships.
  • Manages the social media content calendar to determine appropriate timeline for posting, engaging and optimizing content specific to each retail media platform;
  • Collaborates with (owned and leased) subject matter experts to facilitate the sourcing of marketing funds from vendors and lessees.
  • Partners internally with the property(ies) for relevant areas of marketing.
  • Executes continuous process improvement projects and strategic plan.

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Hotel Management, Business Administration or relevant field.
  • At least 7 years in sales, marketing, events, advertising, media or other relevant area required.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred:

  • Hospitality related experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • MBA or other advanced degree.
