We are looking to hire motivated and energetic people to fill a housekeeper position at either one of our Anoka & Hopkins Merry Maids locations. No experience needed; 7 days of paid training.   • Full Time: Must be available to work Monday-Friday each week (8:00am-5:00pm) 
  • Part Time: Must be available to work at least 4 days each week during normal business hours. 
  • No weekend shifts available

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must be 18 years or older 
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must have reliable vehicle and auto insurance; Willing to use own vehicle to drive to/from multiple job sites
  • Criminal and Motor vehicle background checks performed
  • Drug testing required
  • Must be able to perform all functions listed below

Weekly Paychecks:

During training period: $15.00 per hour. 

Once training is completed, production pay will be implemented with a base pay set at $15.00 per hour. Average pay is $450-$550 per week.

Basic Function

Professionally custom clean homes using Merry Maids’ unique cleaning procedures and products.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Arrive at work on time and in full uniform.
  2. Use Merry Maids' cleaning products and procedures to clean, dust, and vacuum all rooms from ceiling to floor.
  3. Use Merry Maids' cleaning products and procedures to clean, sanitize, and deodorize all bathroom fixtures, showers, tubs, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and vanities.
  4. Use Merry Maids' cleaning products and procedures to clean kitchen appliances, counters, cabinets, tables, and chairs.
  5. Vacuum stairways and wash all hard surface floors on hands and knees, being sure to use Merry Maids cleaning products and procedures.
  6. Move all reasonably movable furniture in rooms in order to use special attention procedures underneath and behind furniture.
  7. Carry cleaning products and equipment to and from office, vehicle, and customers' homes.
  8. Refill cleaning kit and perform required equipment maintenance at the end of the workday.

Secondary Responsibilities

  1. Help maintain a clean and fresh appearance of the office.
  2. At all times, contribute to a positive work climate and to the overall team effort of the company.
  3. Provide information for completion of service report.
  4. Shall perform other reasonable, related duties as assigned or requested.

Essential Qualifications

(Include minimum education, experience, specific skills, etc. required to perform Primary Responsibilities.)

  1. Ability to differentiate between colored cleaning products by identifying the color or product name.
  2. Ability to read cleaning instructions indicated on customized service report.
  3. Ability to communicate with Team Captain, office staff, and/or customers to ensure that customer expectations are met.

Special Requirements

(Include physical and environmental conditions, equipment, and machinery.)

  1. Ability to drive personal car to several work site locations throughout the workday.
  2. Ability to withstand regular physical contact with dog and cat hair, dust, mold, mildew, and cleaning solutions.
  3. Ability to lift 20 pounds, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and carrying.
  4. Ability to wash all hard surface floors on hands and knees.
