Summary: The Senior Manager Learning and Development (L&D) is responsible for executing the organizational learning and development strategy by facilitating technical, developmental, brand standard, service delivery, and guest experience training throughout the organization.  This position will also assess organizational L&D needs, implement L&D programs, and evaluate L&D outcomes. This position travels to operations locations within a major geographic region, and generally reports to a Director or Sr. Director, L&D.Essential Functions:•Assesses training and development needs within operations and makes recommendations for new programs and trainings•Delivers, monitors, observes, and supports training and learning through all available platforms •Evaluates the effectiveness of learning and development programs through observation, testing and auditing; makes recommendations designed to enhance outcomes, associate engagement, and learning experience•Facilitates train-the-trainer programs through all available platforms in a manner that is both engaging and effective•Coaches and consults with field trainers on techniques to make training more engaging and effective, making recommendations for improvements•Collaborates with fellow team members, managers and leadership to make recommendations for enhancements to current programs, develop new programs, and complete Learning and Development projects•Provides branch management with appropriate measurable data and recommends action-driven training and learning solutions for continuous improvement •Provides leadership and training expertise to the branch/field trainers and operators regarding all learning and development initiatives; gains buy in and support on programs, tools and initiatives through acting as performance consultant and support figure•Participates in professional development in hospitality and L&D industry associations, maintaining currency in best-in-class professional standards.  Maintains expertise in tools, techniques, and best practices in the L&D industry.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment: 

•Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in work experience and certifications
•Requires 3-5 years of training and facilitation in a hospitality environment, with demonstrated expertise at engaging adult learners across all levels of the food and beverage business
•Requires demonstrated ability to effectively work alone and with team members, both in person and remotely, to accomplish tasks and establish relationships
•Requires excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
•Requires proficiency in analyzing data and process to ensure operational appropriateness
•Requires a proven track record in building collaborative partnerships at all levels within an organization
•Must be comfortable working with and around technology platforms 
•Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to grasp and apply new concepts and information in a fast paced environment
•Must be comfortable making decisions in an environment of some ambiguity
•Requires proficiency in Microsoft applications (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
•Requires excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
•Requires ability to travel 60-70% of the time
