This position leads the assigned product category including ownership for P&L product innovation and marketing.

Manages division's largest product category accounting for a large portion of total division net sales and primary profit driver for division.

Manages coaches and develops multiple category marketing managers and/or project assistants.

Monitors trends that indicate the need for new products and services makes use of market research to create marketing campaigns based on consumer/customer preferences and buying habits and gathers information on competitors' pricing products and methods of marketing and distribution.

Develops and business plans and sets marketing strategy including sales profit and budget forecasts as well as product promotional pricing distribution and market development strategies and tactics.

Coordinates and manages multiple marketing and advertising activities to promote products

Develops advanced methods for testing and evaluating the effectiveness of promotion advertising and merchandising programs.

Collaborates with the sales force and customers to evaluate and increase the effectiveness of new products and promotional efforts as well as remaining informed of trends and potential adjustments needed for marketing programs.

Manages extensive product portfolio and sets pricing.

Analyzes and investigate variances between actual and projected revenue gross margin and earnings before taxes. Provides recommendations to solve.

Monitors and manages inventory levels to avoid aged inventory and product complaints.

Ensures that corporate profitability targets are optimized for all product sub-categories.

Works with cross-functional team to develop support strategy for profitable growth of existing and new emerging product categories.

Directs multiple external agencies and vendors.

Directs trains and develops subordinates if applicable

Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission values code of ethics policies and other standards of conduct.

Qualifications

Education: MBA degree required.

Years of Related Experience: 10+ years related experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication skills oral and written. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers. Must possess strong general business understanding. Knowledge of the food industry and foodservice operators a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent PC skills including Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint.
