AMMONIA OPERATOR TECHNICIAN - Full-time

To install, operate, maintain, and repair ammonia refrigeration and building HVAC equipment. Follow PSM and OSHA regulations

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES QUALIFICATIONS

• Follow all safety rules and procedures when performing tasks
• Start and stop the refrigeration equipment to maintain proper operation to building critical operations.
• Maintain proper temperatures throughout the facility walk-in refrigerate and building HVAC systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, trouble shooting and overhauling of all the refrigeration System and building HVAC equipment.
• Ability to solve problems when issues have been detected.
• Be able to work on weekends, holidays, called in when needed and rotating shifts when needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 or more years related experience
• Process Safety Management, EPA and/or any OSHA training a plus
• Ability to define problems while working with Ammonia systems

• Garden City Operator 1
• Garden City Operator 2
• Garden City PSM Certificate
