POSITION SUMMARY With minimal supervision, the General Manager is responsible for managing a singlerestaurant. This includes all facets of restaurant operations, front-of-the-house andback-of-the-house, in addition to managing P&L cost centers. Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • At least two (2) years of previous external management experience or management training positions working all facets of front-of-the-house and back of- the-house restaurant operations or has a four (4) year experience in a Quick Service / Restaurant Management) • Prior people leadership experience in the restaurant industry • Willing to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays • Openness to travel leading up to restaurant opening • Thorough working knowledge of a Profit & Loss statement and cost control PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS • Demonstrated success building and leading large teams • Track record of coaching and developing others • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to multi-task and operate effectively under pressure • High commitment to operational excellence, quality, and customer service • Advanced financial acumen with P&L management experience • Basic computer skills

POSITION DETAILS • Manages all employees to maintain high employment quality standards consistent with the Salem’s brand including hiring, development, coaching, promotion, discipline and termination as appropriate. • Ensures restaurant is optimally staffed and employees are fully trained in all aspects of their job maintaining high morale • Develops initiatives to build sales, profitability, and customer counts while managing restaurant costs • Works with the Salem’s management team to respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests • Demonstrates high ethical standards at all times, adhering to all standards laid out in the Company’s Code of Ethics policy • Adheres to company standards and service levels to increases sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs • Ensures that all required employee documentation is complete and accurate • Forecasts Sales – (food & beverage), supervises orders with purveyors within established guidelines, and oversees delivery schedules • Manages P&L for individual restaurant • Ensures sanitary & safe practices and maintenance of entire restaurant and premises • Maintains compliance with operational standards, company policies, local laws, and ordinances; all health inspections meet required standards • Adheres to Salem’s high operational standards with total commitment and passion: line checks, testing, training, orientation, recipe adherence, window management, cook times, menu presentations, table visits, concentrated service and hospitality, etc. • Oversees all restaurant administrative requirements including cash handling, completion of guest liability, property, governmental compliance, invoicing, and reporting, etc. • Ensures that proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, customers, and company assets. • Ensures a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents. Completes accident reports promptly in the event a customer or employee is injured • Consistently demonstrates and teaches Salem’s company culture • Manages local store marketing efforts, special events, and community involvement initiatives • Ensures effective two-way communications between store level employees and corporate office
