About this job

The ideal technologist, during their scheduled shift and/or when on call, would be required to provide quality diagnostic exams to physicians to help evaluate in diagnosing and treatment planning of their patients. The technologist should be

capable of working competently with all ultrasound equipment and their applications. Tech should be capable and willing to perform all required QC on ultrasound equipment. Applicant must have fundamental understanding of personal

computers and familiarity with the Windows operating system sufficient computer skills to operate hospital information system and PACS. Successful candidate would continually strive to make the best use of time by organizing and

coordinating scheduled work. Assisting in the radiology department during slow periods, additional duties may be assigned. Technologist must be willing to submit to at least one weekend per month of call performing requested ultrasound procedures in minimal time while practicing quality patient care. During call, the response time should be no more than 30 minutes. Holidays are not excluded from work week and would be on a rotational basis. Tech must be willing to train in Echocardiography and will be performing echocardiograms.

Registry with ARDMS is required. (New graduates must be registered within six months of employment.) Alternatively, candidates could be registered with ARRT in Sonography (S). ARDMS registry in Vascular Sonography (S) to be obtained within 6 months. BLS Certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
