Our client is currently seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join their team!
Location: near Plainview, NY

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Perform structural analysis & calculations; Prepare preliminary & detailed drawings, designs & plans; Review of designs, drawings & calculations; Perform field investigations & special inspections; Prepare reports & other technical documentation; Lead or participate in project meetings and conference calls; Manage project documentation & status.
The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience: At least 5 years of previous experience in a structural engineering role; Bachelor’s degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred); FE/EIT certification preferred; Knowledge of IBC & AASHTO & NYC Building Code, New York State building Code is preferred; Previous exp. working on designs for new construction, remodels, excavations, demolitions, etc.; Ability to perform inspections; Ability to read blueprints & drawings, strong proficiency w/ AutoCad, ability to use structural analysis software preferred (i.e. ETABS, STAAD PRO); Strong communication skills, both written & verbal.
